Subject: Temporary files in Domino
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

The Windows Temp directory was almost filling up customer system disk. Checking the Domino tasks revealed IMAP SERVER taking all the CPU Utilization.

The files that was stored in temp dir was named STxxxxxx.TMP and kept growing.

The only information I find about these files are not applicable to customer environment:

Can someone please explain if these temp files has anything to do with IMAP running on the server? I would like to know exactly what these files are and what they do.

We temprarly solved the problem by changing Windows TEMP and TMP variables to another drive.

Thanks in advance!
